Meet Ashley Elizabeth

Ashley Elizabeth Wilson

I'm the vocalist, multimedia artist, and builder behind OTRIQEN™. I describe what I do as performance art, using the language of synchronization to communicate story.

Family photograph of adults and children gathered around a birthday cake

When I first started chasing artificial intelligence tools, I wanted to create a space where the evolution could be experienced. That is now possible historically but it's an entire documentary that I have yet to make. During my time at Disney I observed the broken relationship between technology and human connection. This tense relationship is creating a 66.5 million metric tonne e-waste problem. But how do you feel that number? How could anyone possibly feel their presence while standing inside it.

5 years ago I began closely studying the artwork of Chris Jordan, the photographer who captured the birds on Midway Island. He is one of the most under celebrated photographers in the world. So I included him. Not only does his work come alive here as completely reimagined scenes, but he appears himself. His point of view, even his words, appear. His work became a visual benchmark to help me judge comparatively through color grading, and extremely fine organic detail could be rephotographed synthetically, so this is somewhat of a debut of my work as digital cinematographer by a completely new form of camera — a robot brain. I call it that because the "tools" in their current state will move into physical forms. As we push man to his absolute limits my question is, can we make these robots from recycled e-waste? And can we prioritize disabled veterans and people with significant health challenges who are stripped of their means of expression? I hope so. I am an environmentalist but first and foremost a humanitarian. My goals with this work are to carry a torch of the highest level of artistic ability as a human. Through art restoration and careful attention to detail, I can build practically anything. As a storyteller, that is the most magical moment in all of human history. But it's far more fragile than anyone realizes.

Why this photograph matters

Plastic remains visible inside the body of an albatross. Jordan’s Midway photographs document a devastating meeting of wildlife and human waste; his own gallery describes unaltered stomach contents of a Laysan albatross fledgling. The image makes the consequences of consumption tangible through a single life.

Its power lies in the attention it asks of us: to look closely, to feel the loss, and to reconsider our relationship with the living world. The precise detail and quiet composition give the photograph both emotional force and lasting artistic weight.

In addition to his inspirational photography, his TED Talk will, I hope, inspire you as well.

I treated his question, "Can Beauty Save The Planet?" like a personal phone call. I thought to myself, I'll give it my best shot, Chris. What I share in this space is my response. And I hope that it forms a global bridge for a new kind of community of coexistence — one that is better for the planet and the evolution of mankind. To quote Chris, "we have to fix our relationship with each other." Well, that's a language. And now it's a global one — the one every tech bro is banking on: "AI."

My work is mixed reality, a convergence of myth, history, and creative journalism. A lot of preservation, art restoration, and thought goes into everything I do.

Besides the universe of content I've developed alongside the rapidly growing AI and entertainment industry, I've also been building real-world-rooted guidance for people searching for something they won't find on social media by design: real connection. I like to think of myself as the girl who wears every hat so that what's designed as competition out there becomes collaboration in here, in the digital sanctuary. Agreement is our best chance for survival. How we scale those agreements will evolve us.
